Creating The Best Selling Poster – Need Your Help

I’m thinking of the perfect gift for my dad and I’ll need all of my readers to help me vote.  Even if you have never commented before, would love to get as many opinions as possible.
No matter how many times I have seen the movie Top Gun, if I am in the presence of my dad, my mom and I always have to hear him go on and on about the elevator scene with Kelly McGillis in her little cap with her hair tucked in.  He has to comment about her big eyes and great lips.  But the line he always dwells on is, “If they would have made that into a poster of her, they would have sold a zillion copies!  Man, she looks so sexy there.”
Now I don’t know about it selling a zillion copies, but it’s obvious HE sure does like her look in that scene.  We never hear the end of it since that movie came out in the 80’s.
I have searched the internet and there are just no still photos to be found of Kelly McGillis in this Top Gun elevator scene.  So…. it was on TV one day and I snapped a bunch of close up pictures.  I’m not 100% sastisfied with them but… it’s the best I could do and it’s better than nothing.  Walgreens will take a photo and make a poster at some pretty reasonable prices.  I figure this would make his day and if I know my dad, he WILL hang it up and admire it.  TV screen lines and all.
So… which one do you think I should pick for this poster?  If you have a hard time deciding then give me your top three in order.  Click on the pics to see full size.

Forever In Blue Jeans

I’m really, really missing someone right now.  What a nice thought and wish we could.

Mmmmm… Turkey!

Hope everyone has a really nice Thanksgiving today.  Being with friends and family, saying grace, being thankful, watching the Macy’s Day Parade, football, creating memories and lots of great food!

Isn't It Ironic

So I’m listening to my Thanksgiving play list that I put together on YouTube and the song Thank You by Alanis Morrissette comes on and a few lyrics struck me all of the sudden.
“Thank you India.”  and then immediately after, “Thank you terror.”  Kind of interesting considering those two things collided yesterday and today is a day about giving thanks.
What a terrible, terrible thing to have happened and still happening.  I’m so sick of terrorists and yet they will never ever go away.  Ever.
I remember telling Rambo that terrorists remind me of gangs.  That’s all they are.  People who have nothing better to do because they are poor, bored, uneducated, unemployed and want to feel important by destruction and hurting/killing others to further their so called codes and values.

Sometimes You Meet A Nice Guy

One man approached me on one of my dating sites.  We started emailing back and forth quite a bit and then eventually moved on to chatting on IM.  I must say I was impressed.  Impressed at quite a few things actually.
One, he seems to be a real gentleman.  Two, the guy has character – deep character, based on some of the things he told me.  Three – he is an honest guy – that’s huge with me.  Four, he seems smart.  Five, he’s a cutie – not required but always a nice plus.  Six, very nice, respectful to me and for once just a normal guy.  I think only about 7% of the men I meet online have number six.  Seven, he works in Special Forces Operational Detachment – Delta.  Now I would be a liar if I didn’t say that didn’t impress me.  😉
Probably what stood out the most was the fact we just had a normal, fun and regular conversation.  He didn’t talk about how gorgeous I looked or how hot I was or ask me for more pictures.  There was no deep flirting or sexual hints and all that jazz.  We did innocent flirting here and there – totally G rated but it wasn’t a focus.  Now I’m sure you are saying that is the way it should be when you first talk with someone.  Yes you are right it should be.  Sadly though, lots and lots and lots of men I meet online don’t seem to practice that.
The only downside is he is in D.C.  Long distance.  It probably won’t go too much further because of that.  All I can say at this point is that it is definitely a breath of fresh air to meet a good guy who takes the time.  Even if it amounts to nothing or even if he is restraining himself from being a bad boy.  I appreciate it all the same.  lol

Christmas Tree Talk

Me:  Yeah, that sucka is huge.  9 feet and I didn’t dig putting that thing together.  But it is a beautiful tree.
Her:  You know, you should probably try and sell it on Ebay.
Me:  I thought about it.  I’d rather you have it anyway.
Her:  You could probably get some good money for it.
Me:  Nah, everyone and their brother is probably selling them on there now.  Besides, I don’t want to mail that asshole.
Me:  I can’t believe I just called a Christmas tree an asshole.
Her:  *laughter*
