One Mint Julep Was The Cause Of It All

Wow, I’ve been totally slacking on posting some cocktail recipes.  Even though the Kentucky Derby was back in May (where this drink is the staple) they are having their Kentucky Bourbon festival in September so this drink is still fitting.  Plus I was in the Mint Julep mood.
Mint Julep
– 3 oz Bourbon
– 1 tsp Superfine Sugar
– Garnish: Fresh Mint Springs
Dissolve superfine sugar in bourbon in a highball glass. Fill the glass with ice and garnish with the springs of mint on top. Serve with short straws.
To top off this great drink, I give you a great song to go along with it….  One Mint Julep by Sarah Vaughan.  I love her version of the song.  Awesome music arrangement here with that swanky touch and cute lyrics.

How do you think people’s assholes get hairy in the firs place? From having a mint julep of course!

  2. Cindy Says:

Never had one and really don’t care if I ever have one. Sounds nasty.

I equate it to eating mint ice cream. Mint is for toothpaste, mouthwash and breath-freshening gum.
